French women's football championship 1987/88
The 1987/88 French women's football championship was the 14th play of this title since the official recognition of women's football by the French Football Association in 1970 and the first staging in the 1974/75 season . The championship was played in a mixture of league and knockout mode ; a France-wide highest league did not exist until the 1,992th
Defending champions VGA Saint-Maur reached the final again, in which the women from Saint-Maur-des-Fossés prevailed against FCF Hénin-Beaumont and won their fifth championship title within six years, which they leveled with Stade Reims .
Preliminary round
30 teams played a double round of points in three regional leagues, in which each club competed against every other group opponent in home and away games. The two group winners and the third placed from groups A and B reached the quarterfinals; the women who qualify for the next round are marked in green in the tables below. In the event of a tie - the two-point rule applied - the direct comparison and, if necessary, the better overall goal difference then made the difference .
