Open water world championships 2000

The 2000 Open Water World Championships took place in Honolulu from October 31 to November 5, 2000 . Individual competitions for women and men were held over distances of 5, 10 and 25 kilometers.

In the women’s race, Peggy Büchse won over 5 kilometers and Edith van Dijk over 10 and 25 kilometers. In the men's category , Yevgeniy Bezruchenko secured the title over 5 kilometers, David Meca won over 10 kilometers and Juri Kudinow over 25 kilometers.
