Friaize is a French municipality with 244 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Nogent-le-Rotrou and is part of the canton Illiers-Combray (until 2015: canton La Loupe ).

Friaize is located about 31 kilometers west of Chartres and is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Favril in the north, Chuisnes in the east, Le Thieulin in the south and Champrond-en-Gâtine in the west and south-west.
