After Belgium's surprising defeat against the USA and their victory over Paraguay , Paraguay and Belgium were eliminated, the USA had reached the semi-finals. The last group game in which Belgium lost Paraguay 1-0 was therefore only meaningless and was only attended by about 900 spectators. Thus Belgium eliminated point and goalless as the bottom of the group.
