Georg Heu (born October 31, 1965 in Mödling ) is a former Austrian football player in the position of goalkeeper and now a goalkeeper coach .

Career

As a soccer player

Georg Heu made his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga on September 1, 1987 in the jersey of VfB Mödling under coach Sepp Schneider in the 1: 2 away defeat against SK Austria Klagenfurt .

Georg Heu played three seasons in the Austrian Bundesliga: ( 1987/88 , 1993/94 and 1994/95 ) for VfB Mödling, one season ( 1991/92 ) for Kremser SC and five seasons ( 1997/98 , 2000 / 01 , 2001/02 , 2002/03 and 2003/04 ) for FC Admira Wacker Mödling . There are also two seasons ( 1996/97 and 1995/96 ) for VfB Mödling in the second-highest division .

After the official end of his active career in the summer of 2005, Georg Heu had to step in as goalkeeper in the Regionalliga Ost on October 1, 2006 in the second team of FC Admira Wacker Mödling against Kremser SC .

As a goalie coach

During his active career, Heu started his second career as a goalkeeper coach in the summer of 2004 under coach Bernd Krauss . After Krauss was replaced on September 22, 2004, Dominik Thalhammer was his boss until August 16, 2005. This was followed by Robert Pflug , who in turn was replaced by Ernst Baumeister on February 16, 2006 . Under Ernst Baumeister, Heu was promoted to assistant trainer from February 25, 2007 to January 4, 2008. Heu then moved to ASK Schwadorf until June 30, 2008 and resumed his original role as goalkeeper trainer under coach Heinz Peischl .

Due to the commitment of sponsor Richard Trenkwalder to FC Admira Wacker Mödling, Peischl and Heu returned to Südstadt on July 1st, 2008. After that, Heu was again the goalkeeper coach under the coaches Heinz Peischl (5 games, until August 8, 2008), Walter Schachner (65 games, until April 26, 2010), Dietmar Kühbauer (124 games, until June 11, 2013), Anton Polster ( 4 games, until August 10, 2013), Oliver Lederer (5 games, until September 19, 2013) and now Walter Knaller .

Georg Heu is single but has two daughters.

In addition to his job at FC Admira Wacker Mödling, he and his goalkeeper colleague Martin Krenn and Franz Kalla are managing directors of KEEPERsport , a manufacturer of goalkeeper gloves based in Kottingbrunn . There he is also responsible for in-house productions and development. The company equips goalkeepers like Sebastian Mielitz (Werder Bremen), Marjan Petković (Eintracht Braunschweig), Sascha Burchert (Hertha BSC), Cican Stankovic (SV Grödig) or Patrick Tischler (FC Admira Wacker Mödling) with their products.
