Baron Georges Arthur Dillon-Kavanagh du Fertagh (born February 14, 1873 in Nîmes , † August 4, 1944 in Laugnac ) was a French fencer .
Life
Georges Dillon-Cavanagh took part in the Olympic Games in foil fencing in London in 1900 . He reached the final round, which he finished with 2-5 wins in seventh place. At the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 , he won three medals. In the individual competition with the foil he won the gold medal ahead of Gustav Casmir , with the sword he only had to admit defeat to Georges de la Falaise and received silver. With the Degen team he prevailed in the final against Great Britain in two skirmishes and became Olympic champion .
