Fabio Dal Zotto (born July 17, 1957 in Vicenza ) is a former Italian foil fencer and Olympic champion .

successes

Fabio Dal Zotto was runner-up with the team three times : 1977 in Buenos Aires , 1979 in Melbourne and 1981 in Clermont-Ferrand . In 1979 he also won the bronze medal in singles. At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal he reached the individual final, in which he defeated Alexander Romankow and became Olympic champion . With the foil team he was defeated in the battle for gold by the team of the Federal Republic of Germany . Dal Zotto was also part of the epee team, which also failed in the quarter-finals to Germany.

His cousin Andrea Borella was also an Olympic fencer.
