Gerd Mackensen
Gerd Mackensen (* 1949 in Nordhausen ) is a German painter , set designer , photographer and sculptor .
Life
Gerd Mackensen, born in Nordhausen in 1949, studied from 1970 to 1975 at the Dresden University of Fine Arts with Günter Horlbeck and Gerhard Kettner .
He has lived in Sondershausen since 2008 , where he works as a freelancer.

Mackensen explores the spectrum of the fine arts with great enthusiasm for experimentation. He paints, draws, engraves, shapes, films and photographs. From miniatures to stage sets , from small collages to sculptures in public spaces, he doesn't shy away from any format.
