Gernot Fischer
Gernot Fischer (born December 15, 1937 in Worms ) is a German lawyer, former high administrative officer, member of the Bundestag ( SPD ) and Lord Mayor of the Rhineland-Palatinate city of Worms.
Life
Gernot Fischer grew up in Osthofen , where he attended elementary school until 1947. After graduating from high school in 1956 at the Gauss-Gymnasium Worms , he studied in Mainz, Bonn , Munich and Heidelberg jurisprudence . He passed the second state examination in 1964. From 1965 to 1968, Fischer worked as a judge at the Mainz Regional and District Court . From 1970 to 1980 he worked as a consultant in the constitutional department of the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Justice , where he was ultimately promoted to Ministerialrat in 1974 .
Gernot Fischer was in the federal elections in 1980 and 1983 as a direct deputy for the former constituency 155 (Worms and vicinity) in the German Bundestag elected. He belonged to this in the 9th and 10th legislative period .
From December 1, 1987 to June 30, 2003 he was Lord Mayor of the city of Worms .
