Girlfriend ( English for girlfriend ) is a song by Paul McCartney has written and directed by Michael Jackson was sung. It was the fifth single from his fifth solo album Off the Wall , but the title only appeared in the UK .

Emergence

Girlfriend came about when Jackson met McCartney at a party in Hollywood in 1970. McCartney recorded the song with his band Wings . Quincy Jones then heard the song and said that this song was perfect for Jackson.
