Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 23,961 inhabitants at that time were distributed over 8,217 households. The population density was 2,282 inhabitants / km². 66.0% of the population identified themselves as whites, 16.2% as African American , 0.7% as Indians and 0.7% as Asian Americans . 12.5% ​​said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.9% to several ethnic groups. 58.5% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
