The Collier County is a county in the US state of Florida . The county seat is Naples .

Collier County is located in southern Florida, bordering the Gulf of Mexico to the west and southwest and has a total area of 5970 km² . 5246 km² of this is land, 724 km² (12.13%) is water.
The county is listed by the Office of Management and Budget for statistical purposes under the name Naples-Immokalee-Marco Island Metropolitan Statistical Area .

Collier County was established in 1923. The name goes back to Barron Collier , a land owner and developer.

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 43.0% of all households lived in 24.7% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 67.0% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.38 people and the average family size was 2.84 people.
21.5% of the population were younger than 20 years, 20.2% were 20 to 39 years old, 24.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 33.7% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 47 years. 49.3% of the population were male and 50.7% were female.
The median annual income was $ 56,876, with 13.5% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2010, English was the mother tongue of 69.37% of the population, 22.57% spoke Spanish and 8.06% had another mother tongue.
