Immokalee is a census-designated place (CDP) in Collier County in the US state of Florida with 24,154 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Florida State Road 29 runs through Immokalee . The place is about 60 km northeast of Naples . Immokalee is the largest settlement in the Naples-Immokalee-Marco Island Metropolitan Statistical Area , which corresponds to Collier County.
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 24,154 inhabitants were distributed over 6,816 households. The population density was 1,155.7 inh / km². 43.2% of the population identified themselves as whites, 18.9% as African American , 1.0% as Indians and 0.2% as Asian Americans . 32.7% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 4.1% to several ethnic groups. 75.6% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 58.4% of all households and 17.3% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 78.9% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.96 people and the average family size was 4.14 people.
37.4% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 34.5% were 20 to 39 years old, 19.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 8.5% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 27 years. 55.3% of the population were male and 44.7% were female.

In 2000, English was the first language of 21.96% of the population, 64.22% spoke Spanish and 13.82% had another mother tongue.
