Indialantic is a city in Brevard County in the US state of Florida with 2,720 inhabitants (as of 2010).
geography
Indialantic is located between the Indian River (part of the Intracoastal Waterway ) and the Atlantic Ocean on Florida's east coast. The city is located around 60 km south of Titusville and around 110 km southeast of Orlando .
Religions
In Indialantic there are currently eight churches from four denominations. The Catholic Church is most strongly represented with three churches. There is also a church that does not belong to any denomination (status: 2004).
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 2720 inhabitants were distributed among 1584 households. The population density was 1007.4 inh / km². 94.7% of the population identified themselves as whites , 0.5% as African American , 0.2% as Indians and 1.7% as Asian Americans . 0.9% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.1% to several ethnic groups. 5.3% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 19.8% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 35.2% of all households. 59.11% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.11 people and the average family size was 2.67 people.
17.9% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 16.8% were 20 to 39 years old, 34.0% were 40 to 59 years old, and 31.2% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 50 years. 50.2% of the population were male and 49.8% were female.
The median annual income was $ 63,164, with 8.0% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the first language of 97.79% of the population and 2.21% spoke Spanish .

Indialantic is crossed by US Highway 192 ( SR 500 ) and Florida State Road A1A . The Melbourne International Airport is around 10 km away.
crime
The crime rate in 2010 was 197 points (US average: 266 points) in the low range. There was one rape, three assaults, 21 break-ins and 67 thefts.
