Viera West is a census-designated place (CDP) in Brevard County in the US state Florida with 6641 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Viera East is about 30 km south of Titusville and about 70 km east of Orlando . The CDP is affected by Interstate 95 .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 6,641 inhabitants were distributed over 3,020 households. The population density was 287.5 inh / km². 85.2% of the population identified themselves as whites , 5.5% as African American , 0.2% as Indians and 4.7% as Asian Americans . 1.5% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.9% to several ethnic groups. 10.3% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 33.7% of all households and persons aged 65 and over in 30.5% of all households. 74.1% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.48 people and the average family size was 2.90 people.

26.0% of the population were younger than 20 years, 21.5% were 20 to 39 years old, 27.8% were 40 to 59 years old, and 24.9% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 42 years. 48.9% of the population were male and 51.1% were female.
