The metropolitan area of Jacksonville (ger .: Jacksonville metropolitan area ) is a metropolitan region in the northeast of the US state of Florida . It represents a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) defined by the Office of Management and Budget and includes the counties Baker , Clay , Duval , Nassau and St. Johns . The center of the agglomeration is the city of Jacksonville .

At the time of the 2010 census , the area had 1,345,596 residents.

Furthermore, the region together with the µSAs Palatka and St. Marys will become the CSA Jacksonville – St. Marys-Palatka , which also includes the Counties Putnam and Camden ( Georgia ). In 2010 it had a total of 1,470,473 inhabitants.
