The county has an area of ​​3,082 square kilometers, of which 96 square kilometers are water. It is bordered by counties in a clockwise direction: Palm Beach County , Broward County , Collier County , Lee County , Charlotte County, and Glades County .

history

Hendry County was formed in 1923 from parts of Lee County and named after Captain Francis A. Hendry , one of the first settlers.
