Gro Marit Istad-Kristiansen (born February 9, 1978 in Voss ) is a former Norwegian biathlete .

Gro Marit Istad-Kristiansen started biathlon in 1987 and has been part of the Norwegian national team since 1996. She won gold in the relay at the 2004 World Championships in Oberhof and gold in the mass start at the 2005 World Championships in Hochfilzen . She won three races in the World Cup. On May 3, 2007, she announced her retirement from active biathlon sport.

Istad-Kristiansen is Jon Istad's niece and cousin of Sverre Istad .
