Grzegorz Krejner (born February 25, 1969 in Żyrardów ) is a former Polish cyclist and European champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Krejner got into cycling at the age of 13 through a school competition. He had his first major international appearances in 1998 at the UCI Track World Championships , where he competed in the team sprint , and at the European Championships, where he immediately won the title in the Olympic sprint . In 2001 he won silver behind Germany in the European championships in this discipline with the Polish team (as later in 2002) . When Arnaud Tournant won the UCI Track World Championships in 2001 , he won the bronze medal in the 1000-meter time trial . In 2004 he won silver in the team sprint and sprint omnium at the European Championships. From 1989 to 1999 he started regularly at UCI Track Cycling World Championships, his best results were a bronze medal in 2001 in the time trial and fifth places in the time trial in 1996 and the Olympic Sprint 1998 .

He was a participant in the Summer Olympics three times : in 1992 in Barcelona (20th in the time trial ), 1996 in Atlanta (6th in the time trial ) and 2000 in Sydney (7th in the time trial and in the Keirin and started in the Olympic sprint ).

At the national championships he won the Keirin title in 2000 and 2001. In the sprint , he was title holder in 1992, 1994–1996, 1999–2001. In the time trial he won the championship jersey in 1990, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000 and 2001. In 1993 he won the single pursuit , he won the two-man team race in 1990 and the Olympic sprint in 1996 and 2001.

In 2003 he ended his career.
