Gubitzmoos is a district of the municipality of Hummeltal in the Bayreuth district in Upper Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The hamlet is located on the Kaltenbrunnen , the right upper course of the pasture , which is a left tributary of the Truppach . In the south lies the Gubitzmooswald. There is the Schleifberg ( 563  m above sea level , 1 km south), an elevation in northern Franconian Switzerland . The place is surrounded by arable land and grassland. The Deutes hill ( 502  m above sea level ) is located 0.5 km to the northeast . A community road leads to Creez to State Road 2163 (1.4 km east) or Voitsreuth and Lenz past to Schobertsreuth (1.2 km north-west).

history

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office of Bayreuth . With the community edict (early 19th century) Gubitzmoos was assigned to the tax district Pettendorf and the rural community Creez . On April 1, 1971, as part of the regional reform, the municipality of Creez was dissolved and Gubitzmoos was incorporated into the municipality of Hummeltal.
