Gus Lesnevich (born February 22, 1915 in Cliffside Park , New Jersey USA ; † February 28, 1964 ) was an American boxer and both world champion of the former association NYSAC , which later became the WBC association, and the NBA , which was renamed WBA in 1962. He was also named Boxer of the Year in 1947 by both the US boxing magazine The Ring and the BWAA .
