Hammerthal is an officially named part of the municipality of Tiefenbach in the Upper Palatinate district of Cham in Bavaria .

Geographical location

The building of Einöde Hammerthal is located in the valley of the Hüttenbach south of Stadlern. Hammerthal is, counted from Stadlern, the eighth mill in the Hüttenbach valley (above: Stadlermühle , Tobacco Mill , Cäcilienmühle (ruins), Sägmühle , Andreasthal , Löwenthal , Hüttensäge ). Hammerthal belongs to the district of Schönau , about a kilometer away , which has belonged to the municipality of Tiefenbach since July 1, 1974.

Economic use

The mill engine duct has been preserved. The hydropower is used to generate electricity. The house is being modernized.
