Trade Medallion
The Handel Medallion ( Handel Medal ) is an award given by the City of New York to honor personalities who have made the greatest possible contribution to the intellectual and cultural life of the city.
The first award ceremony took place in 1959, on the 200th anniversary of the death of the composer Georg Friedrich Händel , after whom the award is named.
