Hanne Sandstad

Hanne Sandstad (* 1970 ) is a former Norwegian orienteer .

Sandstad came in 1990 at the first Junior World Championships behind her compatriot Torunn Fossli , the Swede Marlena Jansson and the Finnish Mari Lukkarinen on the fourth place on the long distance, with the relay she won the title. A year later she made her debut in Czechoslovakia at the world championships for active athletes and won the silver medal with Heidi Arnesen , Ragnhild Bratberg and Ragnhild Bente Andersen . In 1997 at the home world championships in Grimstad , she won silver on the short distance behind the Austrian Lucie Böhm and bronze on the long distance behind Hanne Staff from Norway and the Swede Katarina Borg . In the season with Torunn Fossli, Elisabeth Ingvaldsen and Hanne Staff, she won another silver medal. In 1999 she became Nordic Long Distance Champion, at the World Championships in Inverness she won the relay title with Birgitte Husebye , Elisabeth Ingvaldsen and Hanne Staff.

In 1992 she won the Tiomila with NTHI . 1996 and 1997 she won with the relay of Bækkelagets SK at Venla . With Bækkelagets SK she won the Tiomila a second time in 1997.
