Hans Kraemmer

Hans Kraemmer (born October 24, 1934 in Vienna ) is an Austrian opera singer ( bass baritone ) and actor .

Life

Hans Kraemmer studied singing at the Vienna Music Academy with Josef Witt and made his debut in 1962 at the Landestheater Saarbrücken as Leporello in Don Giovanni . From 1964 to 1969 he was engaged at the Freiburg Theater and then until 1972 at the State Theater at Gärtnerplatz in Munich.

From 1972 he was a member of the Vienna Volksoper ensemble . From 1968 to 1981 he took part in the Salzburg Festival , among others in the Barbier von Sevilla , as a doctor in Wozzeck , as Antonio in Figaro's wedding and in the world premiere of the opera Baal by Friedrich Cerha . Other roles included Kálmán Zsupán in the Gypsy Baron , the Dulcamara in the love potion , the title role in Don Pasquale , Count Waldner in Arabella and King Agamemnon in The Beautiful Helena .

He made his debut at the Vienna State Opera in 1972 in the role of Betto di Signa in Gianni Schicchi , and later performed there until 1995 as the frog and prison director Frank in der Fledermaus , as steward in Ariadne auf Naxos and in Friedrich Cerha's opera Baal . At the Bregenz Festival in 1984 he sang Baron Weps in the bird dealer .

In addition to his career as an opera singer, he also worked as an actor. From 1996 to 2006 he played the role of porter Josef Schimek in the television series Schlosshotel Orth .
