Hans Peter Henecka , also HP Henecka , (born April 3, 1941 in Karlsruhe ) is a German sociologist .

Life

Hans Peter Henecka grew up in Bruchsal and attended the humanistic Schönborn high school . From 1961 to 1968 he studied sociology and social psychology as well as political science and international law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , University of Cologne and the Free University of Berlin with various other study stays at the universities of Jerusalem , Tunis and Bern . From 1965 to 1969 he was a research assistant at the Heinrich-Pesch-Haus , the institute for Christian social teaching in Mannheim . 1969 Henecka was with the dissertation The Jura separatists: a contribution to the sociology of conflict within ethnically heterogeneous federated subsystems using the example of the Swiss canton of Bern in Heidelberg for Dr. phil. PhD . From 1970 to 1973 Henecka was a research assistant for sociology and political science in the social sciences department at the Karlsruhe University of Education.

In 1973 he was offered a professorship at the Heidelberg University of Education where, until his retirement in 2007, he worked as a professor of sociology with a permanent teaching position for sociology of education at the Institute for Sociology at the University of Heidelberg . At the Heidelberg University of Education he was, among other things, dean of the social science faculty, chairman of the research committee of the Senate and prorector .

He was visiting professor at the St. Petersburg State Pedagogical University of St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg (1992) and the Central Switzerland University of Education (PHZ) in Lucerne (2006–2009).

Act

His teaching activities focused on general sociology and microsociology , especially social interaction and communication in small groups , as well as in the field of educational and sociological topics such as family and youth sociology , sociology of schools and the educational system . The focus of research was on several third-party funded projects on university and professional socialization . Henecka has published a large number of papers and research papers on this, as well as articles in specialist journals and handbooks.

For his honorary commitment since 1980 as chairman of the Kulturrings Bruchsal eV, which organizes the international chamber music series of the “Bruchsal Palace Concerts” in cooperation with the Südwestrundfunk / SWR2 , he was honored in 2005 with the Schönborn Medal of the city of Bruchsal. In 2015 he received the German Citizens' Prize in the “Lifetime Achievement” category for his decades of overall leadership of this concert series, which was also widely recognized across the region .

Hans Peter Henecka is involved in numerous social projects in the Holy Land . In 2004 he was named Knight of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Rome by Cardinal Grand Master Carlo Furno and invested in Munich in 2004 by Michel Sabbah , Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem . Until 2016 he was Chief Commander of the Commandery St. Bernhard von Baden in Baden-Baden and at the same time was awarded a Star Commander (Grand Officer).
