history

Lauenhainer church on Harthauer corridor

Harthau was mentioned in 1271 as "Harte". In contrast to the neighboring towns of Lauenhain and Gersdorf on the other side of the Paradiesbach, Harthau did not belong to the possessions of the Grünhain monastery . The place was in the Schoenburg care Crimmitschau, which became Wettin in 1413 and in the 16th century in the Electoral Saxon office of Zwickau . The basic rule over Harthau was around 1,551 pro rata among the manors Schweinburg and Carthause , 1696 the manor Schweinburg and 1764 proportionally the manor Lauterbach and as an official village directly at the district Zwickau. Until 1856, Harthau belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Zwickau. In 1856 the place was affiliated with the Crimmitschau court office and in 1875 with the Zwickau administration .

On April 1, 1935, Harthau was incorporated into Lauenhain. Through the second district reform in the GDR , Harthau came as part of the municipality of Lauenhain in 1952 to the Werdau district in the Chemnitz district (renamed Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Werdau from 1990 and in 1994 in the Zwickauer Land district or 2008 in the district of Zwickau. Since the incorporation of Lauenhain with its two districts to Crimmitschau on January 1, 1999, these three places form the Crimmitschau locality of Lauenhain.

Attractions

The Lauenhainer church was built in Romanesque style before 1316. The last renovation took place in 1992. In a side building of the parish farmstead is a Rüstzeitheim for Christian youth.
