history

The place Hartmannsgrün was first mentioned in 1378 as "Hertwigisgrune". Since 1542 there is evidence of a manor in the place , to which Hartmannsgrün was proportionally subject to the manorial rule . The other part was under the parish church of Oelsnitz around 1542 and directly to the Voigtsberg office around 1764 . Hartmannsgrün belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Voigtsberg until 1856 . In 1856 the place was affiliated to the Oelsnitz court office and in 1875 to the Oelsnitz administration . In terms of church, Hartmannsgrün has always been after Oelsnitz / Vogtl. parish. The Hartmannsgrün manor had been owned by the Knoll family since 1901 and passed to Erwin Kleinschmidt in 1940. This was expropriated in the course of the land reform in the Soviet occupation zone in 1945. In 1948 the mansion was demolished, only a barn has survived to the present day.

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , the Hartmannsgrün community came to the Oelsnitz district in the Chemnitz district in 1952 (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ). On January 1, 1957, it was incorporated into Oelsitz / Vogtl. Hartmannsgrün came as a district of Oelsnitz / Vogtl. in 1990 to the Saxon district of Oelsnitz, which became part of the Vogtland district in 1996.
