history

The street village of Raschau was first mentioned in 1224 with the mention of a manor house and a Heinricus de Ratschau . The manor was called a knight 's seat in 1445 . Leuther von Rouschouwo and Niclas von Raschau were named as owners . Presumably, the mentioned in 1542 go outworks back to the 13th century. The sale of one of these preliminary works by Philipp von Uttenhofen to Matthes Theymler is documented in 1481 . The Fassmann family bought the estate in 1500 before it came to the Oelsnitz council nine years later. The Raschau manor arose from this property in the following time. The second Vorwerk came to the Meyerhöfern family as a fief in 1551 . The council of Oelsnitz was entrusted with this property in 1587. This had existing buildings demolished and a legacy built. In the last years of the 17th century the Raschau estate was also elevated to a manor, which means that the place has had two manors since then. In 1763 the Raschau estate was donated for the benefit of orphans, creating the Noble Ostensche Orphanage Foundation, which owned the estate until 1914. The manor, on the other hand, was leased to Georg Kurz in 1897 after a two-year lease by Clemens Wehner. The Kurz family bought Gut Raschau from the foundation in 1914.

Regarding the manorial rule in 1542, the place Raschau partly belonged to the parish of Oelsnitz, the Teutonic Order of Plauen , the council of Oelsnitz, the manor Geilsdorf , the two manors of Raschau and as an official village to the electoral Saxon office of Voigtsberg. Around 1764 only the manorial rule of the Raschau manor is documented. Raschau has always been parish to Oelsnitz. Until 1856, Raschau belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Voigtsberg . In 1856 the place was affiliated to the Oelsnitz court office and in 1875 to the Oelsnitz administration .

The community of Raschau was moved to Oelsnitz / Vogtl in 1919. incorporated. In the course of the land reform in the Soviet occupation zone from 1945 , the manors were expropriated. While the manor house of the Raschau manor was largely demolished in 1949/1950, the farm building has been preserved to this day. After 1990 a roofing company settled on the area. As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , Raschau came as part of the new district town of Oelsnitz in 1952 to the district of Oelsnitz in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ). Raschau came as a district of Oelsnitz / Vogtl. in 1990 to the Saxon district of Oelsnitz, which became part of the Vogtland district in 1996.
