Hartwig Albiro
Hartwig Albiro (born December 9, 1931 in Meuselwitz ) is a German actor and director .
Life
Hartwig Albiro has a state diploma as an actor and got his first engagements at the theaters in Altenburg and Stendal . From 1955 to 1958 he worked as an actor at the Dresden theater of the young generation , then went as a performer from 1958 to 1961 at the city theater in Meißen , where he also gained his first experience as a director. From 1961 to 1968 Hartwig Albiro was director and senior stage manager at the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater in Görlitz-Zittau , and then from 1968 to 1971 as a director at the Berliner Ensemble . From 1971 to 1996 he worked at the Schauspielhaus Karl-Marx-Stadt / Chemnitz as a director and theater director.
In 1980 Hartwig Albiro was elected to the Presidium of the Association of Theater Professionals in the GDR as Chairman of the Drama Section. In this position he was re-elected in 1985 at the 5th Congress of the Association of Theater Professionals of the GDR.
