Haus über Kopf (Alternative title: Haus über Kopf - Enter at your own risk ; Original title: Bringing Down the House ) is an American comedy film directed by Adam Shankman from 2003 .
action
Peter Sanderson is a tax attorney. After separating from his wife Kate, his children take turns living with him. He met Lawyergirl on the Internet , with whom he - believing she was a successful prosecutor - arranged a meeting.
When he rings the doorbell on the agreed day, he opens the door in joyful anticipation and, instead of the expected sexy blonde, faces the rather stately, black Charlene who pushes past him into the house. Moved by his protests that she couldn't be his date, Charlene Peters opens his laptop, looks for the photo sent and instructs him not to look at the foreground, but rather the background. There you can see her being put in a patrol car by two police officers. She has been in prison for a robbery but protested her innocence and asks Peter to reopen her case. This refuses. However, Charlene manages to get Peter to let her sleep in his house.
The next morning, Peter lures Charlene out of the house and locks the door behind her. When he returned in the afternoon, it was taken by Charlene and her friends. When Peter is pushed into the pool, Charlene instructs everyone to leave. This is all being watched suspiciously by Peter's neighbor and sister of his boss, Mrs. Kline. Again Charlene is expelled from the house. She later shows up at an important customer meeting between Peter and his friend Howie and the wealthy Mrs. Arness, and asks Peter to take care of her case. Due to the very conservative attitude of Mrs. Arness, Peter agrees to comply with the requirement if Charlene poses as his nanny so that Mrs. Arness does not get a wrong picture of him. Howie agrees to show Charlene around and asks her out on a date.
The date is disrupted by Kate's sister Ashley, who doesn't trust Charlene and Peter. In the ladies' room there is a more or less serious fight, in which Ashley is left behind and receives a violet and numerous bruises.
Peter takes Charlene out to dinner and is taught by her that he works too much and that he must learn to have fun. They dance exuberantly, this scene is observed by Kate and Ashley and immediately misunderstood as a sign of an affair. In Peter's house, Charlene shows him how he could beguile Kate by becoming a real "stallion". In a captivating pose (Charlene sits on Peter's abdomen and both simulate an intimate situation) they are caught by Mrs. Kline, who brings Georgey home from her poker night.
Alerted by the rumors about Peter's "Nümmerchen mit der Nanny", Mrs. Arness pays a visit to the Sanderson family, where the entire family puts on a perfect show. After dinner, the two children tune in to an episode of "Criminals on the Run" through which the whole family learns that Charlene has not been released but has fled. Mrs. Arness leaves the house and refuses any further negotiations with Peter. Injured by Charlie's lie, Peter expels her one last time.
Peter is alerted by the FBI agents appearing in the office . He is expected in his car by Charlie's ex-boyfriend Widow and threatened, he orders Peter to stay out of the case. When he pulls out a weapon, Peter throws him out of the car with a clever turning maneuver. He reaches Charlene on his cell phone and tells her what happened. Contrary to their warnings, Peter looks for him in a club downtown and takes him to a confession, which he records on a cassette. Meanwhile, Charlene and Howie force Mrs. Arness to come with them and give Peter another chance. So they too drive to the club where everyone meets. The FBI steps in, but Widow fires a shot that hits Charlene. When Peter steps up to her, Charlene groans and pulls his titanium cell phone out of her top, in which the bullet is stuck.
Widow is arrested and a stoned Mrs. Arness announces that she wants to remove Peter from the mandate .
In the end, Peter and Howie start their own law firm. Her first client is Mrs. Arness. Charlene goes on another date with Howie, and Kate makes up with Peter, who resolves to make time for her and postpone his work.
