The XL 125 V Varadero was a motorcycle model of Honda . It was considered the "little sister" of the XL 1000 V Varadero and, like this, was built in Barcelona, in the Spanish Honda production facility in Montesa .
The motorcycle is powered by a water-cooled 90 ° two-cylinder V-engine with electronic fuel injection and a regulated catalytic converter, which develops 15 hp at 11,000 rpm. The engine complies with the EURO 3 emissions standard . The carburettor engine installed up to the 2006 model year complied with the EURO 1 standard . From 2007 the cockpit fairing received a new design, the exterior mirrors were attached to the fairing and no longer to the handlebars and the instruments were redesigned. The maximum speed is over 110 km / h . The 17 liter tank (including a 2.7 liter reserve) allows the Honda Varadero 125 a range of over 400 km. Consumption is between three and four liters per 100 kilometers, depending on the driving style.
Alongside the Yamaha TDR 125, it is the only travel enduro in the 125 class and is therefore often used as a touring motorcycle .
The Varadero has relatively long suspension travel from the front 132 and rear 150 mm, and a ground clearance of 190 mm.
The preload of the rear central spring strut can be adjusted in seven stages.
The cockpit is equipped with a speedometer, odometer, two trip meters, rev counter, cooling water temperature display, idle display, indicator control display, fuel reserve display, digital clock and fault display.
