The Hopkinton State Park is a state park in the US -amerikanischen State Massachusetts . Located in Middlesex County between Ashland and Hopkinton , it is overseen by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).
The approximately six square kilometers large park was added by the "Great Places in Massachusetts Commission" to the "1000 Places to Visit in Massachusetts" ("1,000 Places to Visit in Massachusetts").
In addition to several hiking trails, the park has a bathing lake with beaches, the Hopkinton Reservoir , which is separated from the bathing lake by a dam and used to supply the Greater Boston metropolitan area with drinking water , mountain bike trails and a teaching camp for children in which they can learn to sail , kayak , canoe and windsurf .
You can also go horse riding, hiking and fishing in the park. In winter it is also possible to go cross-country skiing and drive snowmobiles .
