Horst Heintze (politician)
Horst Heintze (born August 15, 1927 in Halle (Saale) ; † December 14, 1997 ) was a German FDGB functionary and SED functionary. He was chairman of the FDGB district board in Magdeburg , a member of the SED central committee and a member of the People's Chamber .
Life
Heintze, the son of a working-class family, attended elementary school and learned the trade of machine fitter between 1942 and 1944 . On April 20, 1944, like many Hitler Youths born in 1926 and 1927, he was accepted into the NSDAP .
In 1945 he joined the FDGB and in 1947 the SED. Between 1945 and 1948 he worked again as a locksmith in Halle and Ammendorf . In 1948/49 he worked as the youth secretary of the FDGB district board in Halle, from 1949 to 1952 as the secretary of the FDGB state board of Saxony-Anhalt . In 1952/53 he was chairman of the FDGB district board in Magdeburg. In 1953 he began direct studies at the party college "Karl Marx" , which he completed from 1954 to 1962 in distance learning with a degree in social science . From 1954 to 1958 he acted as deputy chairman of IG Metallurgie and from 1958 to 1961 as deputy chairman of IG Metall . From February to May 1960, Heintze was temporarily acting chairman of IG Metall. In 1961 he briefly headed the economics department in the FDGB federal executive committee and was then from 1961 to 1989 a member of the presidium and secretariat of the federal executive committee, where he was also responsible for economics and labor and wages. From 1965 to 1967 studied at the Berlin School of Economics with a degree in economics. Heintze was a member of the editorial board of the journal Die Arbeit .
From 1963 to 1989, Heintze was also a member of the Central Committee of the SED and from 1976 to March 1990 a member of the People's Chamber, where he was also deputy chairman of the Committee on Industry, Building and Transport.
In November / December 1989 Heintze was released from all trade union and party functions.
