The hamlet of Hub is one of 27 districts of the city of Lauf an der Pegnitz in the district of Nürnberger Land in Middle Franconia / Bavaria . In the 11th and 12th centuries , former forest areas north of Lauf were reclaimed. That's where Hub was created. The hamlet was then part of Günthersbühl . A forestry hatch existed in the local area of Günthersbühl as early as the Middle Ages. It served the administration of a forest district in the Sebalder Reichswald .
On July 1, 1971, the municipality of Günthersbühl with its district Hub was incorporated into the city of Lauf an der Pegnitz.
