IC 3386 is an elliptical dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type dE in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 77 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 15,000 light years in diameter. She is listed as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster under catalog number VCC 1101 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4435 , NGC 4443 , NGC 4458 , NGC 4461 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 10, 1904 .
