IC 4634 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Ophiuchus the celestial equator , an estimated 7,500 light-years from the sun away. It has a point-symmetrical, S-shaped structure, in which its inner shell expands at 20 km / s. The inner shell shows an intense H-alpha emission, while the S-shaped bands show an NII emission line.
The object was discovered in 1894 by the American astronomer Williamina Fleming .
