IC 4623 is a spiral radio galaxy of the Hubble type Sc in the constellation Hercules in the northern sky . It is an estimated 431 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6243 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on July 27, 1903 .
