IC 4698 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 201 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light-years across.

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on July 20, 1901 .
