IC 4708 is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Draco the northern sky . It is estimated to be 377 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6607 , NGC 6608 , NGC 6609 , NGC 6617 .
The object was discovered on September 11, 1899 by Herbert Alonzo Howe .
