IC 5343 is an irregular galaxy of Hubble type Irr in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 360 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 7719 and IC 5345 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on October 19, 1897 .
