IC 5359 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is around 303 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 100,000 light years . Together with IC 5351 , IC 5352 , IC 5356 and IC 5357 it forms the galaxy group HCG 97 .
The object was discovered by Edward Barnard on October 28, 1889 .
