IC 5355 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is an estimated 225 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 9, 1899 .
