Igor Mikhailovich Rybak
Igor Michailowitsch Rybak ( Russian Игорь Михайлович Рыбак , scientific transliteration Igor 'Michajlovič Rybak ; born March 31, 1934 , † September 28, 2005 ) was a Soviet weightlifter .
Career
Igor Rybak was a Ukrainian who started lifting weights at a young age. His club was "Avangard" Kharkov . Igor was a very good technician and in the mid-1950s he succeeded in convincing the then head coaches of the Soviet weightlifting association Jakow Kuzenko and Nikolai Shatow with his achievements. In 1956 he was used at the Olympic Games in Melbourne in the lightweight . He justified the trust placed in him and became an Olympic champion at the age of 22 . After that he had difficulties bringing the weight for the lightweight class (67.5 kg at the time) and started in the middle weight class (up to 75 kg body weight). In this weight class, however, he could no longer prevail at the national championships.

- 1956, gold medal , OS in Melbourne , Le , with 380 kg, ahead of Rawil Chabutdinow , USSR, 372.5 kg and Kim Chang Hee, Korea , 370 kg.
