action

characters
- Littlefoot is a young male long neck ( Apatosaurus ) who has lost his mother and lives with his grandparents in the Great Valley . He is the leader of a group of young dinosaurs of different species.
- Cera is a young, hot-tempered three-horned lady ( Triceratops ) and a good friend of Littlefoot and a member of his clique. She often gets herself and her friends into trouble because of her overconfidence and impetuosity.
- Petrie is a young male aviator ( Pteranodon ) and good friend of Littlefoot and a member of his group. He speaks with a distinctive grammatical mistake. For example, he says “I have flown ” instead of “I have flown” or “Have I flown?” .
- Ducky is a young white-mouthed female swimmer ( Saurolophus ) and a good friend of Littlefoot and a member of his group. What is noticeable about their expression is the triple repetition to express approval or rejection - the former in the form of "Yep, yep, yep" , the latter in the form of "No, no, no" .
- Spike is a young male Stegosaurus and a good friend of Littlefoot and a member of his clique. It hatched very late from its egg and developed a bit late overall. He is also the only one in the young dinosaur group who cannot express himself verbally.
- Chomper is a young male sharp tooth ( Tyrannosaurus rex ) who is also a member of Littlefoot's group. It is the only carnivore in the group, but it feeds on insects and therefore poses no threat to its herbivorous friends.
