Isaac van Hoornbeek
Isaac van Hoornbeek , also Isaäc van Hoornbeek (* December 9, 1655 in Leiden , † June 17, 1727 in The Hague ) was between the years 1720 and 1727 a councilor of the states of Holland and West Friesland , the highest government office of the Republic of the United Netherlands .
Van Hoornbeek, who had held the post of pensioner for the city of Rotterdam since 1692 , was one of the most powerful and influential politicians of the so-called second governorless period .
One of his most important undertakings during his tenure as a state pensioner was the purchase of the Free Glory of Vianen from the Lippe family for the sum of 898,200 guilders .
