Jörg Teuchert (born February 27, 1970 in Simmelsdorf ) is a former German motorcycle racer .

Life

Beginnings

Jörg Teuchert was born with racing from his father Arnulf , who himself was an active motorcycle racer. At the age of five he was already riding a cross motorcycle. From 1986, then served in the OMC Cup and 1987 the first title: OMC Enduro Cup winners on a 80- cc - Yamaha . The following year he won the cup on a 125cc Yamaha. In 1991 he was seventh in the international six-day race with the German national junior team.

Teuchert made his first attempts at walking on asphalt in 1993 in series sport. In 1994, at the age of 24, he then competed in the Yamaha Cup . IDM superbike

In 2004, Jörg Teuchert started on MV Agusta in the Superbike class of the German championship. After initial problems, a heavy fall at Hockenheim and an injury, Teuchert finished seventh. 2005 went a little better, but technical defects often prevented good placements. After finishing sixth in the second MV year, the division from the Italian manufacturer followed.

In 2006 Teuchert joined the Superbikers with a new team on a Yamaha YZF-R1 and immediately won the title: International German Motorcycle Champion 2006. For the 2008 season, Jörg Teuchert changed after two years at MV Agusta into the team Yamaha Motor Germany by Michael Galinski .
