Jahnshof is a district of the municipality of Gremersdorf ( Oldenburg-Land ) in Schleswig-Holstein .
location
The street village in the eastern part of the Wagrien peninsula is a good 2 km north of the city center of Oldenburg in Holstein and 3.1 km southwest of Gremersdorf, the capital of the municipality of the same name in the Ostholstein district . The population in 1987 was 119 people. The closest Baltic Sea resort is Weißenhäuser Strand just 7 km west of the Hohwacht Bay . In the immediate vicinity to the northwest is the Putlos military training area as a restricted area .

To the east of Jahnshof, federal motorway 1 ( E 47 ) , which is being expanded to the north, has been running on the Vogelfluglinie for several years . Its course is identical to that of the section of the former federal road 207 ; Today (as of March 2013) it has been expanded as a motorway to Heiligenhafen -Ost and leads, and with a further extension over the Fehmarnsund Bridge and the island of Fehmarn to today's Puttgarden ferry port . If the (planned) fixed link across the Fehmarnbelt is to be implemented, a continuation via Rødbyhavn in Denmark via Lolland and Falster to Copenhagen is planned.
At it is the autobahn entrance of the same name (No. 8), which is only of local importance and in particular connects the town itself and surrounding villages such as Kröß and Giddendorf and (at least in part) the communities of Neukirchen and Heringsdorf to the trunk road network.
The nearest train station with national or international ICE / EuroCity connections is Oldenburg (Holst) train station on the Lübeck – Puttgarden railway line, only a few kilometers away . Regular bus connections to the surrounding places are offered only very sparingly.
economy
The agriculture is no longer as dominant as it was a few decades ago, plays nowadays but still a role. The tourism has been due to the somewhat remote location to the beaches developed only in its infancy. There are several medium-sized companies in the village and in the small industrial area , which is located in the immediate vicinity of the motorway junction and was developed as early as 1990 on the federal highway 207, which at the time still ran here.
