Jan Dose (born May 10, 1985 in Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

Jan Dose grew up near Dresden and graduated from high school there. After completing his civil service, he studied from 2005 at the University of Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam and graduated in 2009 as a graduate actor.

During his studies he was already a guest at the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam, where he was accepted as a permanent member of the ensemble in the 2009/2010 season. During his engagement (2009–2012) he made his cinema debut in Jo Baier's historical film Henri 4 and his television debut in an episode of the series Polizeiruf 110: The lost daughter at the side of Maria Simon and Horst Krause . This was followed by further appearances in Andreas Kleinert's film Barriere , in the ARD film In the Shadow of the Horse Moon and in the film The Final Fax , where he played the satirist Martin Sonneborn .

In the theater he played Paris in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet , staged by Bruno Cathomas , the Reverend Hale in Arthur Miller's witch hunt , staged by Ingo Berk , and the Santing in Heinrich von Kleist's Die Familie Schroffenstein , staged by Markus Dietz.

He has been working as a freelance actor since summer 2012 and was present as detective inspector Robert Bähr in the ZDF crime series Die Garmisch-Cops until 2014 . In 2013 he was seen in Matthias Schweighöfer's film Ending Maker and had an appearance in a leading role in the ARD series Der Dicke . In the same year he starred alongside Johan Philip Asbæk in the war film April 9 - Attack on Denmark , which premiered in Copenhagen in March 2015. In the same year he took on a role in the 9th episode of the 5th season of the American series Homeland (TV series) and the continuous role of Jakob Böhme in the ARD series Wolfsland at the side of Yvonne Catterfeld , Götz Schubert and Andreas Schmidt . This was followed by guest appearances in the series Rosenheim Cops and In all friendship the young doctors .

In 2016 there was a continuous role in the TV series Jenny - really fair, produced by RTL in 2017 , as well as a guest appearance in Münster's Tatort Fang Schuss . In 2017 he took on roles in the television series Heldt , Notruf Hafenkante and In allerfreund . In 2018 and 2019 he was in well-known series formats such as Tatort Münster , Soko Cologne or the Dr. To see Kleist . Jan Dose is married to the actress Juliane Fisch , they have one child and live in Leipzig.
