Jenna Stern
Jenna Louise Stern (born September 23, 1967 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress .
Life career
Jenna Stern was born into a family of artists in Los Angeles as the daughter of British actress Samantha Eggar and actor and producer Tom Stern . Her brother, Nicolas Stern , who is two years older , also works as a producer. In 1990 she graduated from the University of California, Berkeley , and then took part in the acting program at New York University , from which she graduated in 1993 with a Master of Fine Arts .
Stern has been active as an actress in film and television since 1994. She made her debut with a small role in the television film Horrors from Beyond . Three years later followed a role in The Booked Man with Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Bacon . Further film roles followed in 1999 in Encounter of Fate , 2005 in Hitch - The Date Doctor and 2006 in 16 blocks . In addition to her film appearances, Stern has appeared in guest roles in series such as Chaos City , The Sopranos , Gossip Girl and Kings . In the series Law & Order and Criminal Intent - Verbrechen im Visier , she appeared in various roles. Since 2000 she has appeared at irregular intervals as judge Elana Barth in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit .
Further appearances have since followed in A Gifted Man , 666 Park Avenue , The Leftovers , House of Cards , Blue Bloods - Crime Scene New York , Blindspot , Person of Interest , Elementary and Bull . In 2017 she starred in the drama Wonder Wheel directed by Woody Allen .
